Last month I traveled to Houston to visit my husband who just got a job in Texas (yes….Texas). Long story and I’ll explain more later. BUT…I took a week to go down and explore the city, packed a few rolls of film in my bag and off I went! It was so amazing how lush and green Houston is and it was nothing like what I had pictured in my head at all. I was told, however, that I visited the city at probably the best time of year when everything is in bloom. From here on out, it’s only going to get hotter and less green. So good timing on my part! These photos were taken at The Houston Arboretum & Nature Center, The Japanese Garden in Hermann Park, the reflecting pool in Hermann Park (it looks just like DC!) Discovery Green in Downtown and various other random spots while we were out around town eating and walking about. It was a wonderful trip and made me realize how much I miss travel photography and can’t wait to do more of it.
All images shot on film. Enjoy!
