Next week I’ll be doing some traveling to Texas to meet some new photographers and escape (yet again) the weather in New England. It is getting nicer here in Maine, but I am definitely in need of higher temperatures and sunshine. In preparation for my vaca, I thought I’d share some more photos of my travels to Atlanta back in February. I had the pleasure of meeting some great film shooters in Georgia and we spent the day firing off multiple rolls, brushing up on skills, learning new skills and having an all around good time. Having not seen sunshine in many months at the time of my trip, it was a joy to be working outside, in full sun, and knowing that the film was going to handle these environmental situations brilliantly. This is one of the top reasons why I LOVE working with film; it handles bright sun better than any digital camera ever will. Most of these shots were taken in direct, full sun and yet there is no wash out, no blown out highlights and no flare. Just glowing skin and sun kissed hair. I’ll be bringing some rolls to Texas with me next week for my adventures in Houston and Austin and will share when I return. Enjoy the weather wherever you are…and go out and soak up the sunshine.
