Houston Engagement Portraits – Alex & Chris

What happens when two people who live in the same duplex go through a hurricane together? The top floor neighbor ends up inviting the first floor neighbor up for safety from the flooding and before you know it they start dating.

This is the story of Alex and Chris. When hurricane Harvey was wrecking havoc on Houston in 2018 the two neighbors were starting to get worried as the flood waters came closer and closer to their front door. It wasn’t long before They were both seeking shelter on higher ground. And…well…the rest is history.

So it was only fitting that their front step was the focal point for these engagement photos. We started off our portraits at their favorite bar, Penny Quarter, and then made our way back to their Montrose neighborhood for some photos right outside their door.

It was a delight to do their engagement photos. Congrats Alex and Chris! And good luck with your New Orleans wedding!

I know that choosing wedding vendors can be...ummm..hard...exhausting...nerve wracking. But i'm hell bent on trying to make it at least a little fun.

Shall we have some fun?
