There is love pouring from her face
as her mom watches her get into her dress. There is his oldest friend, standing by his side in a tux he wouldn’t wear for anyone else in the world. There is a bouquet adorned with flowers that make her think of grandma. They get married in a cathedral in Houston where everyone in his family has gotten married for generations, or along the coast where her family spends their summers in Maine.
And, there is laughter. So much laughter!
I seek stories with my camera.
Every wedding has its own heart steeped in traditions, meaning, and the dearest people in your life. But some of those moments and feelings are quiet and fleeting on a wedding day.
Every time my finger presses the shutter, I’m keenly aware that for my couples, I’m freezing time. When you look at your photos years later, I know that the tiny nuances of the day will be just as important as the big moments that happened.
I’m always looking for those soft, subtle, honest moments that slip in between the big, bright, and vivid moments. They all combine to tell the most delicious story of your life, love, and your wedding day.
