This post has been waiting in the wings for quite some time now. I didn’t want to reveal it until the new website was done, and well…….it’s done! (for now). So…..here is the wedding of Lanie & Rick. A glamorous affair that I photographed the week before Christmas. Lanie was, by far, the most laid back, relaxed, go-with-the-flow bride I have ever worked with! And don’t even get me started about Rick. What a gem! When I suggested meeting up before the wedding to discuss the photos she said, “Eh! I trust you! Just do what you want.” Talk about a great pair to work with. And they were so much fun!
Their wedding was a small, intimate gathering of just around 45 people. The ceremony was held at St. John’s Catholic Church on York Street in Bangor with an elegant Audrey Hepburn inspired reception at Sweetest Thing Studio on Columbia Street right in the heart of downtown Bangor. The knock out pink and black decor and floral arrangements were all designed by the talented duo of Amber Small and Kathryn Ravenscraft of Sweetest Thing. The food and the delicious lemon cake adorned with black and white anemone sugar flowers (to match the brides bouquet) was provided by the wonderful women at Market Bistro.
Lanie & Rick, it was honor capturing this night for you. I absolutely love it when my weddings are not only great to photograph but also outrageously fun to attend, and you two did not disappoint. Thank you for including me in your special day and I wish you all the best.
