Bryan may have been wearing is United States Navy dress whites, but that’s about as far as you could go at calling this a “military wedding.” Nope! This was a back yard, country wedding complete with all the details of Maine. Casey and Bryan live in Colorado, but held their festivities at Casey’s parents home in Thorndike, ME. Sunflowers as far as the eye could see canvased the property where their wedding was held with their closest friends and family. Even Casey and Bryan’s own German Shepherd, Walter, was the ring bearer. The tented back yard bash included a ceremony in a field of sunflowers, a lobster bake complete with rib eye steaks on the grill, a canoe full of beer and Coke, and the most glorious tower of whoopie pies I have ever seen. Every last detail of this wedding had the touch of family. All of the food was prepared by family and every single vegetable on the table was from Casey’s mothers own garden.
Casey and Bryan were all smiles that day. It was hard to get a shot where they weren’t smiling. I had a lot of fun with these two, capturing these highlights of their day. I wish you all the best with your new, married, life in Colorado!
