Elizabeth and Matt met me over a year ago and it was so great to finally see their unique, rustic wedding come to life in Kennebunkport, Maine this July. The weather was as you would expect for Maine in July….HOT! But it was a beautiful occasion filled with so many little details that Liz spent all year picking out. No detail was missed right down to the fingerprint “guest book” that was hand drawn and made into a birch bark easel. The ceremony took place at the South Congregational Church with a reception at Bandaloop restaurant. And if there was one scene stealer from this entire event….even better than the hand made felt bouquets, or the organic cotton gown adorned with Swiss Dots, or the yellow and grey paper straws….it was the food. The food at this wedding was the BEST food I have ever had at a wedding. Cheers to you Bandaloop staff for serving the most delicious looking and tasting apps and dinner that this photog has ever seen…and eaten.
There really were so many beautiful touches to this wedding and family was at the heart of it all. Liz wore her grandmother pearls and carried her mother’s handkerchief. It was her brothers that walked her down the isle toward Matt, danced with her at the reception and then sealed the night with shots of tequila. Did I mention that I love these guys? Oh….I cannot finish this post without mentioning the car, the Rolls Royce to be specific. Way to arrive in style, Liz!
Congrats Liz & Matt! I am so happy for the two of you and wish you all the joy and in the world. I know that you two will have many wonderful adventures in your future.
