The birth of baby Vada

The events of this day will forever be etched into my memory…that is how powerful this day was. I can’t even begin to express the amount of gratitude that I have to the people in my life that made this birth experience possible. I can tell you with 100% honesty that this birth was everything…

Anne, this is a wonderfully written birth story and the pictures were amazing! Loved every bit of it! You really captured the essence of a strong powerful woman trusting her body to do what it was made to do!ReplyCancel

Absolutely beautiful, Anne! I so want to have this baby in the water, but while I can labor in the tub, I don’t think Waldo County General permits water births. I nearly had Max in the tub, though. Natural is SO the way to go, and it truly is a different experience. I want that lavender back rub and post-baby tea bath soak!!! Congratulations on the new addition, and thank you for sharing your story <3ReplyCancel

Hi Anne, I finally grabbed a coffee and sat down to hear the story of Vada. What a beautiful story. I’m in so much awe of any woman that has given birth (still no urge to do myself). It’s truly a miracle. I’m so happy for you and your family <3ReplyCancel

A walk through Washington DC

Today is the day after Election Day. I thought it would be nice to share a few shots I took on a recent trip to DC. I might be a big time nerd, but I truly believe that our nation’s capital is one of the most magical places in our country. So many people never get…

I feel the same way, Anne. Thanks for sharing these photos. I can’t believe you had time to shoot the wedding and take photos around the city!ReplyCancel

Maria, I know! I was a little overzealous with the amount of walking I did all over the federal mall that day and then shot a wedding that night. My feet hurt so bad!! But it was worth it.ReplyCancel

Oh my goodness, the month of October is half over. Where has the time gone?! Well, I am a wedding photographer in Maine and I have been furiously working hard for my amazing clients, producing beautiful imagery for them since June. Our season here in New England is so compact that it feels like we…

Weekend Celebrations

These two people are so very special to me and I am proud to call them brother and mother. This weekend my little brother graduated from college and Sunday was, of course, mother’s day. I was blessed to be able to celebrate these two people this weekend and spend time with family. Conner and mom,…
